Congratulations! It must be a great feeling to be completely done, especially after so much time in the process. Where you going to be over the summer? Any chance we might be able to meet up somewhere? (You can send me an email or post on facebook if you want).

I'm glad you are spending the time to think and pray and ponder, those are some great benefits.

Blessings,

The last paragraph reminds me of that time when Jesus will separate the sheep from the goats. "Christians not really seeking God will not find Jesus." As my pastor says: " very sobering".

I wonder if part of the issue lies in not trusting yourself to be right. And because you are thinking of the pieces as having to always go together the same way. Recently, a friend commented on how I paint. I tend to get an idea and go ahead and start at it, and if as it evolves I don't like what it looks like, I just roll with the punches and kind of adapt my idea as I go along. I think some of it is I don't trust my original vision of the art piece nor my ability to actually accomplish what I originally saw, but all that does not invalidate that what I create in the end is not beautiful. I think in the end interpreting Scripture is kind of like how I paint, you start somewhere, but that may not be where you end up and you have to trust yourself and God enough to go for it sometimes, even if you don't know if it will be beautiful in the end and you don't know if a particular piece really fits with another piece.

That's really great! It kind of put into words clearly how I was kind of thinking about the topic, but had never gotten too.

I have never thought of the roads leading to Jesus in this way before. I was always an advocate of putting people on the "right" road theory. It's absolutely true. It doesn't really matter what road we are on, if we are truly searching for God, they will end up at Jesus. Thankyou for changing my thinking on this subject. Fresh revelation! I love it!

"...and to trust that this space allows us to dance together."

I like that line.

I'm a Henri Nouwen fan too.

With our kids growing so fast and having less and less parental supervision, it's a miracle that there are no more pregnancies.
